ARRRRRRRRRRGHHHH - iT'S THE FRIGGIN WEEKEND

I am leaving work a little early today to go home, load up the car, spend nearly three hours in traffic so that I can spend thirty six hours at the Jersey shore, then spend another 3 hours in traffic on the trip back.

Don't you just love the weekends!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

O well, time to go sit in traffic ....

Okay, Maybe I Do Need To Get A Life ....

At the risk of having Jen tell me I should reach into my pants, look around for my balls and then grab and yank them, I have to admit that I love watching BookTv on the weekends.

Okay, I don't watch it all weekend and mostly have it on in the background while I do other things, but sometimes they have such good programming I will sit - or stand - and watch an hour or two if the discussion is really interesting.  BookTV is 48 hours of non-fiction books and will air panel discussions of authors who have written non-fiction books  discuss recent topics or topics on which they recently written. Also, they have authors discussing their non-fiction books.  Most of the authors have written biographies, histories or  books on recent events.

Usually the discussions are extremely interesting and cover a wide variety of topics that I might not necessarily have even considered reading.  If you go to BookTv.org  you can view their programming schedule and they have posted a large number of the programs so you can view them on line.

Okay, it is not as much fun as 48 hours of receiving  bjs or having sex, but then again, not many women are willing to offer 48 hours of bjs or sex!  :)

It's Not Easy Being Me .....

How can I be expected to write entertaining, incisive, daily blog entries when I have only one thought richoceting through and lobotomizing by unconscious!  Oh  well, all I can do is try - or just lurk on my favorites blogs.

I admit it! I did it for two hours last night and enjoyed every moment ...

I thoroughly enjoyed the  season finale of So You Think You Can Dance last night. I admit it - does that mean I have to turn in my man card?!?

I enjoy dancing, I enjoy the host, the judges and the choreographers, and most of all the contestants who are talented and seem genuinely to enjoy their craft.  The show celebrates dance and unapologetically promotes all styles of dance.

Truthfully, I didn't think a woman had a chance in hell to win the competition since the show attracts mostly women, and the men who do watch - i.e., me - do not call in to vote on their favorite performance. And since mostly women vote, they tend to vote for the men, thus the winners of the first two seasons were men.

I missed the final competition on Wednesday night because I was working and didn't get home until 10:30 and although I taped the show, I didn't have a chance to watch it before the finale - but I digress.

I thought that of the final four all were extremely talented dancers and each had a legitimate claim to win the competition.  I think Lacey has star power - a wonderful dancer with star power performances, she exudes personality and sells the dance.  Of the final four, I thought she should have won.

Sabra is wonderful and will make a great champion.  It is hard to believe she started dancing only 4 years ago. She is a strong dancer, an excellent performer and enough personality to fill Giants Stadium.

I thought Neil was the best of the  two male finalist.  Althought he doesn't have the same level of technical competence as Danny, he is a much better performer.

My favorite though is Lauren.  An excellent dancer, a wonderful performer and a smile to thaw the Arctic.  She becomes the dance and draws you into the experience.  She will have a great career in dance.

Okay, I guess it is time for me to put on my dress and start the day - do I get extra points for wearing a thong?
